From A Princess To A Queen – A Guide

You’re all grown up. You have been a princess your entire life and you aren’t sure if you should stop being one in order to be a queen or not.

It sounds like a non-argument, huh? Who WOULDN’T be a queen after being a princess all your life? You were pampered, you were wonderful and everyone loved you and also liked to spoil you. Being a “queen” sounds like an upgrade!

Except, no. a little bit, yeah sure, but in reality, being a queen is just a saying to really point out that you should be a responsible adult now instead of clinging to your childish fantasies and dependability.

This means no more thinking like everything will be alright in the end. No more looking at the world with rose-tinted glasses. No more waiting for things to happen to you and FOR you.

A Queen means you MAKE things happen FOR you.

Face the challenge

You are going to be the one who will settle your problems from now on. It’s time to stop cowering from behind someone. Take the step forward and actually face the challenges and the problems for yourself. And learn from the experience along with it.

Be brutally honest with yourself

No more pretty little lies. This is the real world, therefore you should face reality. Look at the world dead in the eye, accept that it’s the way it is and move on. Do the same to yourself. Like the fact that you aren’t a princess at all and the world is the exact opposite of a fairy tale.

Spend some time alone

Alone time is amazing. It’s the part where you don’t hear anything but your own thoughts and when you have the time to look around and actually be in THIS world. No one telling you about stuff that aren’t real.

Be creative

It’s time to let your own thoughts be transformed into something beautiful. Now that you have thought about everything in the world with your alone time, use what you thought about and be creative. Be it music, literature or art.

Let your heart lead the way

Don’t be afraid to listen to your heart. Just because people have been telling you what to do (because you were young and don’t know any better) doesn’t mean you should keep doing so. You have your own thoughts and your own feelings. Listen to them and follow at a wary pace because sometimes our feelings aren’t really all that smart.

Step into your power

Own your adulthood. The saying “grab life by the neck and tell it that you’re its boss” (it’s a little more vulgar than that actually but you know what I mean) should be your guide as to how you will live your life from now on.

Build your queendom

You will build it on your own instead of letting other people build it for you.
